Project 365: June 5

We visited Granddaddy this morning. Why is it that people only take balloons to kids? This wonderful man has been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. He had several very pretty plants and flower arrangements in his room. He also had a huge pile of cards. Aside from those, a print of a boy catching a turtle, and a get well picture from the kids, the room was bare.

Boring...dull...totally uninspiring.

It's no wonder people are sick there. Geez.

So we brought him 3 balloons. The kids had fun picking them out and Granddaddy had fun receiving them. One has a big bass on it and says "hope you're better REEL soon!", one was cheery & bright, and the one with a heart has a puppy and a sweet saying on it.

I think he'll be out of there in no time now that he has some color and excitement hanging around!
