Not So Top Secret Quilt Project - Cherry House's iDo Quilt

This quilt is very straight forward. It just got a bit tricky during the circle making phase.
There were lots of circles - 48 in all!

See the cute scrap bag? A special quilt retreat friend made it for me.
Here's the final top - now all it needs is to be sandwiched, basted, quilted, and bound!
Should be ready by their first anniversary!

Triple C Pick Up

Upon arriving at Triple C, I couldn't find any of my girls or any of Katherine's troop. I had hoped to catch K's group at the climbing wall. Her troop did arrive after a while but K was nowhere to be found! It turns out that she had climbed the day before. Those would have been good pics, I'm sure!!

I did finally find Caroline & Anna & Emma, who were in the middle of their photography session. Lacy & Molly were doing the High Adventure session.




That's Marni on the wall! I think K earned 8 badges this weekend! The girls packed up the van, dressed for their game, and we headed out to find some food!!

Picnic Breakfast Before Triple C

My Cadette troop is spending the weekend at Triple C Camp with a lot of other scouts - they'll be earning all kinds of badges! We decided to meet for breakfast before packing up the van and driving them to their overnight camp.


Here they are - ready for fun! Mary & Molly skipped breakfast and met us there!

Taking on the Black Knights

Coach told the girls to take it easy and use this meet as a workout rather than a race. There's big race coming up on Saturday and they need to be fresh for that one. Some of the girls listened and some didn't.

and the second. It was a good race. She got a good time, especially for a "workout" run!I totally missed getting a picture at the end because I forgot myself and was cheering without a camera in my face!! I don't think she'll mind!

Do You Know the Carpe Donut Man?

Every Wednesday the donut man sets up shop outside my office. Every Wednesday I watch as people line up to buy donuts and to chat with the donut man. Every Wednesday someone from my office just has to visit the donut man. Today RC bought a dozen for the office. Then I stopped on my way to the van to pick up a dozen of his freshly made (while I waited!) cinnamon sugar covered organic apple cider donuts! Awesome!!

Game #2 - A Win!

Game #2 today against yet another Henley team! Katherine was in the goal the first half and didn't let any balls in! Her friend Cassidy was goalie for the second half! I can't remember the score but the girls won!! Everyone played well and had a great time!!

I love watching Morgan run hills. She really knows how to move up and over them. They don't seem to faze her a bit!Today's meet was at home against Fluvanna & Goochland. Our friend Taylor runs for the Flucos!

Joseph & Jordan are our youth directors at church. They came out to cheer the girls before heading back into town for Wednesday night activities!
