Reeling One In

Throughout a race a runner is constantly trying to pick off the runners she follows. We always called it "reeling one in" but I don't know what they call it now, if anything.

In the first picture the runners have just about one mile left in the 5K. At this point Morgan has closed in on this runner from the other team.

Here they are again with just under 1/2 mile to go. Morgan has passed the runner and is about to pick up speed again on the hill.

Here they are running into the finish. Morgan was able to increase her lead as she rounded the last corner, and finished with a good lead. Another great race. The runners have all gotten so much better as the weeks have passed, I hate to see the season end. I love to watch them run!

Grandmama came today to watch the race, too! She was able to see Morgan run at 3 different spots!
