Project 365: Day 40 - February 9 - Updated

Updated to add: Both judges gave her an Excellent rating and provided constuctive comments. She still won't allow me to post the video of her pieces!

Today Caroline, along with hundreds of other music students, participated in the CMTA Festival here in town. She and 7 or 8 other kids in her level each played 2 pieces for 2 judges. They were given written comments and graded.

Last year she played really well and felt great about the whole experience. Today she made a few mistakes and we could tell she was disappointed even while she was still playing. She did a good job staying focused and played through her pieces.

She won't know until Monday when she has her lesson exactly how she did or what the judges' comments were. After the session, we ran into her teacher who told Caroline that she had done better than she feared.

Whew.
