Holiday Parade

Last year we got all excited about watching the holiday parade on the downtrown mall. It turned out to be a bust. Sure there was Santa in a sleigh, and a fife & drum corps, but that was it except for some people in period costumes giving speeches. This year, they added local school groups - Caroline's choir & Mattie's band were two of the additions, and other marchers.

The groups performed at the grandstand, and then paraded on. At the end, they performed again at the pavillion. All of the groups performed and then the costumed people spoke again. At the end of hte event, The Bearettes led the audience in America the Beautiful.
