Project 365: Jan 4
This is a picture of Caroline & Katherine's fingers. The girls love to play a finger game (don't know what it's called or even if it has a name) that uses basic addition to eliminate one player one hand at a time.
Each player (A & B) begins with 2 hands, each with the index finger extended. Player A begins by tapping one of B's fingers with her own index finger. B then extends another finger on that hand. This means B now has one finger extended on one hand and two fingers extended on the other. Now it's B's turn to tap one of Player A's fingers. The players continue on until one has 5 fingers extended on one hand. At this point that hand is out. They continue playing to try eliminate each other's hands. They will play until only one player has one hand left. That person is the winner.
Sounds easy. It's a slow moving game when I play, but when the kids play with each other their fingers (and minds) move too fast for me to keep up! Try it.
