Project 365: September 16
Caroline signed up to play field hockey this fall. David and I thought it would be a good sport for her to play in addition to lacrosse which she'll play again in the spring.
After signing the papers and sending in our check, we looked up the UVA schedule to see if we could actually see the game played prior to her practices beginning. Friday night's game against William and Mary was out because it was raining hard and I was playing single mother with 4 kids, only one of whom wanted to go and sit in the rain.
So we went all today (Sunday) to watch the women play JMU. We were treated to free hot dogs and drinks, and a great game! The women won 3-1!
The picture: After seeing the goalies in their garb I made Caroline promise not to volunteer to play goalie. Not that I'm opposed to her playing goalie, but look at those pads. If they need to be that thick then someone else can put herself between the ball and the goal.
I already have enough gray hairs!
