Sunday's Game

On Sunday, the middle school teams competed in an end-of-season tournament. Our team (Blue) played the first game against the very same team that they beat last week. They played well and won without too much trouble. This put them in position to play against a team that they had been badly beaten by several weeks earlier.

The Blue girls rallied and at 5-5 the game went into overtime. Despite having several opportunities to score and win the game, Blue ended up losing the ball and the game. In the end though, Blue came out on top. The yellow team played in the mud - their tactics, body slamming and shouting obscenities, had to have made their win a bit bitter. Though Blue probably had more bruises at day's end, they also still had their honor.
