Project 365: July 1

The other day Will told someone that he had a horse at home. Once the woman walked away he clarified under his breath that it was a pretend horse. Maybe that doesn't count as a fib technically, but it sure does come close.

In Will's mind he does have a horse, and his Daddy has an airplane. Have you ever tried to explain anything to a four-year-old? It's mind-numbing.

This is one of our horses. We don't feed it. We don't call the vet or the farrier. We don't even exercise it. All we do is pet it periodically...when we feel like it... if we happen to be taking a walk that passes by his pasture. It's the best kind of horse to have.
