She Doesn't Get Out Much

Exciting!

Exhilarating!

You're probably thinking of whitewater rafting or skydiving or mountain climbing...anything extraordinarily daring and frightening.

Yet, this was Caroline's exclamation in response to our being rear-ended this morning on the way to school.

"That was exciting."

"Exhilarating?" "Like riding a roller coaster?"

"Just like riding a roller coaster, ... but no one threw up."

In an effort to broaden this poor girl's horizons we sent her packing this morning to spend the night in the wild, or with the wild. She and 38 other 6th graders and some very brave parents are spending the night at Camp Albemarle tonight. They'll get back just in time to attend the first middle school dance of the year! Oh, and the poster is an assignment for one of her classes. The overnight stuff and the poster are why I had to drive the girl into school this morning, and how I ended up getting rear-ended on the way.
