It's Just A TV Show*

It was a hot day for a race. Luckily all of the girls ran together and all of the boys ran together so there were only two races. It was great! We were on the way home by 6:30! Not that we went home, but we could have!

Morgan ran a fantastic race. It was not her fastest time for 3 miles (or is it 3.1?), but the coach kept telling everyone not to expect PRs on our course. She also came in ahead of several girls who had finished ahead of her in the last two meets, so she was pleased. This is one of the toughest HS courses in the county so times are generally a bit slower than on some other courses.

I was posted at the finish line to make sure all the runners passed through the chute in the proper order, so I didn't get to see much of the race beyond the first 1/2 mile and the last 1/2 mile.

Katherine spent her time at the meet doing her homework, while Caroline spent her time chasing her brother. They had fun, and he was asleep within minutes of our returning home. She does a great job wearing him out!!

*The girls tie-dyed their team t-shirts yesterday to wear today at school with their spirit socks. The back of the t-shirt says "It's just a TV Show" which is about the time it takes to run one of these races!
